Nicholas Demsak, Vernon Township Schools, Sussex County Teacher of the Year

Mr. Demsak began teaching social studies in high school, then moved onto teaching at Rolling Hills Primary School in Vernon after getting the required certificate for teaching in elementary. The Vernon Township High School Writing Center has served more than 1,000 students in 2010 under the guidance of Nick Demsak and others. Due to Mr. Demsak's efforts students in Vernon may be some of the only students in the state to get individual attention during their lunch period from certified English and history teachers.
