Para Professionals Presented Certificate at SCEA Rep Council Meeting March 16, 2010

    The Sussex County Education Association held training for the para-professionals who whished to receive the highly qualified status under the Federal "No Child Left Behind", (NCLB), law.  Many of those para's needed this certification to continue employment in their respective districts.  Lessons in reading and math were conducted by certified teachers.  Kathy Smith, math teacher from Byram School District and Sherry Fehir, teacher from Stanhope conducted the lessons. The study groups were set up by SCEA Educational Support Professional representative Elise Falleni.  An astonishing 100% of the 24 attendees passed and some with perfect scores.  Pictured below are some of the group who were honored at the SCEA Representative Council meeting held march 16th, 2010.
